R.E.M. - Everybody Hurts (Official Music Video)

This song was used in When a Man Loves a Woman with Andy Garcia. I recently watched the movie again and found new appreciation for it. So many emotions within the sound. I love music.

When your day is longAnd the night, the night is yours aloneWhen you're sure you've had enoughOf this life, well hang on
Don't let yourself go'Cause everybody criesEverybody hurts sometimes
Sometimes everything is wrongNow it's time to sing along
When your day is night alone (hold on, hold on)If you feel like letting go (hold on)If you think you've had too muchOf this life, well hang on
'Cause everybody hurtsTake comfort in your friendsEverybody hurts
Don't throw your hand, oh noDon't throw your handIf you feel like you're aloneNo, no, no, you are not alone
If you're on your own in this lifeThe days and nights are longWhen you think you've had too muchOf this life to hang on
Well, everybody hurts sometimesEverybody criesEverybody hurts, sometimes
And everybody hurts sometimesSo hold on, hold onHold on, hold on, hold onHold on, hold on, hold on
Everybody hurts

When A Man Loves A Woman (1994) OST - Everybody Hurts

I am (not so secretly) in love with Andy Garcia. He is just a fine, gorgeous human and everything about him, especially his eyes, makes me tingle when I see him in a movie. He has always been a favorite, but I recently watched When a Man Loves a Woman again, and oh my goodness, he is exquisitely handsome and his acting is so beautiful. 💛💚💛

LeAnn Rimes - Amazing Grace (Studio Version)

Amazing Grace

Amazing grace, how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost, but now I'm found.
Was blind, but now I see.

'Twas grace that taught my heart to feel
And grace my fears relieved.
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed.

Through many dangers toils and snares
We have already come
'Twas grace that brought us safe that far
And grace will lead us home

When we’ve been there ten thousand years,
Bright shining as the sun,
We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise
Than when we’d first begun.

Amazing grace, how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost, but now I'm found.
Was blind, but now I see

Early Morning Rain

Gordon Lightfoot - "If You Could Read My Mind" (Live TV performance)

RIP Gordon Lightfoot
Sad day today...

THOSE WHO WAIT…

THOSE WHO WAIT…
If each of us knew how much time we had allocated,
perhaps we could play around with it.
But we don’t.
Believing tomorrow to be a guarantee,
is the biggest mistake we make.
Not seizing every day like the gift that it is,
is the biggest risk we take.
Waste time wisely my friend.
Time spent in rest, joy, company and kindness,
is never wasted.
As for the rest, just do it.
You won’t regret the things you tried and failed at,
but you will regret a life spent waiting.
Waiting for anything is a dangerous game because there is no guarantee the conditions will ever be just right.
Those who wait, wait..
but you,
you have a life to live.
Right here, right now.

The soul dies when you complain.

"It takes too much energy to feel sorry for yourself; to regret things. I like movement. So does the earth; so does God; so do all the smart people. I want to be on good terms with the earth and God and the smart people, so I keep moving and changing. Whatever you don't like about the life you're living, you can change. And you should. And if you don't want to change things--if you haven't the guts to change things--then get comfortable with things as they are, and move in your own way. But don't complain. There is no reason, ever, to complain. You can stand up for something or someone, and you can demand things be made right for someone or something, but you can never complain. The soul dies when you complain." --Katharine Hepburn/Interview with James Grissom/1990/Photo by Michael Brennan
